MEET THE SPONSORS
that make UpStart Maine's programs possible
UpStart Maine has forged working relationships across the innovation ecosystem to broaden the expertise available to our entrepreneurs and build more awareness of our events and those of other partners. We are pleased to announce the following partners:
Startup Maine is a nonprofit and its mission is to serve as a convener, educator and catalyst for the Maine entrepreneurial ecosystem. The organization hosts the state’s largest startup/tech conference each year in June, helps companies find opportunities to showcase their products and services locally and nationally, and amplifies the message that Maine is a great place to start or grow a company. Startup Maine hosts a biweekly video series featuring entrepreneurs and ecosystem builders across the state.

The Downeast Innovation Network (DEIN) fosters collaborations among a constellation of partner organizations that are committed to growing entrepreneurial ventures and economic well-being in Washington and Hancock counties. Each year, a series of “Smash-Ups” and “Friday Forums” are scheduled to bring forward trends, ideas, best practices, and resources that will help the network partners build their capacity and support new initiatives.
Greenlight Maine’s regular program is a competitive reality television show that consists of 13 episodes featuring 26 contestants. Ranging from entrepreneurs to established businesses, contestants vie for cash prizes to take their products and services to the next level. Each episode features two companies that pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges who evaluate and ask questions about each contestant’s background and their plans for growth. The panelists share their supportive feedback and ideas with the contestants before casting their vote with host Julene Gervais.
