Boot Camp is a hands-on, intensive accelerator. The program arms entrepreneurs with the mentorship and practical experience needed to refine business models, sharpen pitches, and build companies ready to scale. The program is designed specifically for Maine entrepreneurs who aspire to audition for Greenlight Maine and seek to position their businesses for long-term growth.

“This partnership formalizes a clear pathway for Maine entrepreneurs who want to be competitive on a statewide stage,” said Lisa Liberatore, Upstart Maine Program Manager.

“Boot Camp bridges the gap between early traction and readiness to scale—helping founders show up prepared, confident, and investment-ready.”

Through a structured curriculum, participants will receive guidance in five key areas: financial readiness, customer validation, operations, leadership, and pitch development. Founders will work directly with mentors, advisors, and business leaders drawn from Maine’s innovation ecosystem.

Upstart Maine brings its proven expertise in early-stage business development and entrepreneurship education, while Greenlight Maine contributes its statewide platform, network, and commitment to spotlighting and supporting Maine-grown companies.

“Boot Camp is about looking beyond the pitch to the decades of impact these entrepreneurs will have on Maine,” said Julene Gervais, Co-Executive Producer of Greenlight Maine. “By joining founders earlier in their journey, we can help them bridge the gap between an emerging startup and a sustainable, thriving company that’s truly built to last.”

Specific application timelines and eligibility criteria will be released in the coming weeks. Interested founders are encouraged to visit the Greenlight Maine website to sign up for early notification.

While Boot Camp provides the ultimate competitive edge for future Greenlight Maine Season auditions, selection for the television series remains an independent, merit-based process.
