Show Me the Money: 3 Funding Resources for Maine Entrepreneurs

We’re excited to share three new resources that can help you move your business forward—whether you’re searching for funding, looking for support, or trying to build your network.

A one-stop location for businesses to find and apply for funding matches to build or grow your startup. Fill out an online form, and you’ll be connected to one or more agencies or organizations in Maine that best meet your needs. The process is streamlined with a common loan application, saving you valuable time.

A socially responsible nonprofit lender and advisor to Maine cooperatives since 1975. The Fund provides financing and technical assistance to co-ops, with a focus on supporting low-income communities and advancing community-based, democratically managed enterprises.

MTI supports entrepreneurs at every stage, with a focus on seven targeted sectors: biotechnology, composites and advanced materials, environmental technologies, forest products, information technology, marine/maritime, and precision manufacturing. MTI invests in innovation across Maine by providing grants, loans, equity, and technical assistance to startups and growing companies.
